NCERT: Successfully Navigating the “Interactive Process” 6/11/2020

Presented by the Northern California Employment Round Table, this deep dive into the interactive process will provide guidance for employers navigating challenging aspects of disability accommodations.

The program includes an overview of resources available to assist employers as well as structured demonstrations on how to have difficult conversations, get around barriers in the process, and support positive outcomes. Topics including leave as an accommodation, service and support animals, fragrance and chemical sensitivity disabilities, and challenges related to “invisible” disabilities will be discussed in depth.

The program will also include an update from the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH), which will cover COVID-19 guidance, updates to the DFEH website, and recent case decisions.
