Interactive Process
Interactive Process the process of determining a reasonable accommodation, an employer must enter into a good-faith, interactive process to determine if there is a reasonable accommodation that would allow the applicant or employee to maintain employment. The interactive process includes identifying the essential functions of the job, consulting with the individual to ascertain the specific job-related limitations and how they could be overcome with a reasonable accommodation, and identifying, assessing and implementing appropriate accommodations. DMG’s training on how to navigate the interactive process is our most-requested and most popular training program, providing attendees with practical skills and knowledge they can use to become proficient in the process.
